The picture books from Flying Eye Books never seem to disappoint, so I was beyond ecstatic to see what the message and illustrations would convey in Ivy and the Lonely Raincloud.
In this charming tale, a solitary raincloud finds a way to make a grumpy little florist happy again, by using the very thing that most people dislike about him—rain! Featuring vibrant and lively illustrations that add warmth to the atmosphere of this picture book, I was in awe while flipping from page to page.
This tale, intended to impart an inscrutable lesson of unexpected friendship, left me with stars in my eyes. And if one thing’s for sure, you can catch me looking at Katie Harnett’s illustrations for the time being in utter admiration.
